Spread over 105 acres in Poicha village, Neelkanth Temple is built by Swaminarayan Gurukul Rajkot. Built on the banks of Narmada river, the temple is famous for its vastness. This temple is dedicated to Lord Swaminarayan. The architecture of the temple is spectacular. A very large and beautiful garden has been created here, in which mythological stories are depicted through huge sculptures. There is an arrangement to stay in the temple premises. Equipped with modern facilities, this temple attracts thousands of devotees. Many people from all over the world come to see this temple.

Attraction of Neelkanthdham Temple

Spread over approximately 105 acres, the temple looks different on holidays. Seeing the crowd of people, it seems as if a fair has been organized here. Nilakantha Dham, Swaminarayan Temple and Sahajananda University are divided into two parts. An idol of Lord Nataraja is placed at the temple gate. A very big lake is built and in the middle of it there is a Shivling Ganeshji Hanumanji temple along with many other small and big temples. The crowd of devotees who bathe in the water of the Narmada river flowing from the 108-gaumukhi Ganga downstream remains the same from morning to evening.

The view of the temple is so beautiful in the evening that after seeing it you feel as if you are walking in a palace. Devotees can be seen singing devotional songs and dancing towards Charo in the temple with colorful lights.

Buttermilk is available in the form of Prasad

Here the Lord is anointed with milk and water and buttermilk is made from this milk and distributed as prasad. Generally sweets are found in the form of prasad in temples but here the prasad is made from the milk used in Abhishek.

Aarti time in temple

Aarti is performed in the temple from 5:00 to 6:00 in the morning and between 6:00 to 7:00 in the evening. Aarti timings are slightly changed on special occasions and festivals. Apart from darshan, if you want to see the light show, you should come between 7:00 pm and 10:00 pm.
